ShamsAlDin.net is a site dedicated to his eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mahdi Shams al-Din(HA), also known as "Seyyed Shams", a great scholar and mystic ('aref) in contemporary times. It serves as a portfolio where his writings and lectures are presented.

Ayatullah Seyyed Mahdi Shams al-Din(HA) was born in the year of 1958 in the holy city of Qom. At the age of 12 he started his theological studies in Hawza and simultaneously was entrusted by his noble father Seyyed Sadiq Shams(RA) to Ayatullah al-Udhma Behjat(HA) as his personal and spiritual master, with whom he naturally developed a very intimate bond with. At that time he also started preaching and since then has spent over 30 years traveling around the globe spreading the True Islam of Muhammad (SAW). Despite his young age it is several years since he reached the level of Ijtihad, however as it is not his demeanor to pay attention to titles, few know of his scholarly rank and hence he is still referred to as "Hujjat ul-Islam". Instead he continued with his studies, spreading True Islam and serving the people. He has written over one hundred books and articles not to mention the number of speeches he has delivered; in a total he is away half the year lecturing!

We thought that such a great personality, who with his extensive knowledge and experience truly understands the intellectual and spiritual problems we are faced with today, deserves an own site where his works are collected for the masses to draw benefit from. Hence ShamsAlDin.net was born.

Most material is currently in Persian but we are working hard to translate these to English. The audio lectures are naturally in Persian however there are also videos available which we will partly or wholly subtitle as time pass by, as well as articles and excerpt from or entire books.
